Today’s blog post is brought to you by Massage Envy of Fort Myers. A crucial part of my skincare routine is the occasional facial at Massage Envy. Also in this blog post, I’m sharing all of my favorite daily skincare products! One of my most frequently asked questions is what skincare products I use. I have been blessed naturally with pretty great skin but I know that my skincare routine surely enhances it and keeps it healthy/glowing.
Once a month I schedule myself with a facial to not only pamper myself but to keep my skin at it’s best. My esthetician at Massage Envy of Fort Myers knows my skin very well and gives me the best facials for sensitive skin. It always starts out with a warm steam to moisten the skin and prepare it for the facial. Then my skin is cleansed with professional grade cleanser and a series of hydrating face masks are applied. The best part is the massage during the facial and the steamy cloth they use to remove the mask. It’s all around a very relaxing experience and you get to learn about your skin and get the best recommendations for where you can improve. Key to any great skincare routine is the proper removal of your makeup. For the longest time I used makeup wipes which often require harsh rubbing on the skin and tend to drag and pull. I recently switched over to a cleansing balm and it was the best decision in all of 2020! This one from Farmacy is amazing! It smells delicious, melts your makeup off including eyeliner and mascara, and it doesn’t leave your face feeling greasy/oily like a lot of cleansing balms do.
My daily facial cleanser is the First Aid Beauty Pure Skin Cleanser because it’s unscented, gentle and effective. It removes any residue left behind from the balm and lathers really well. My skin always feels clean and hydrated after washing my face with this. I have somewhat of sensitive skin which is why I learn toward natural and simple products with clean ingredients. First Aid Beauty is my go-to!
Toning your face is essential after cleansing to remove any traces of dirt/makeup that your cleanser may have missed. It gets deep into your pores and clears your skin of impurities. This one is unscented and I just apply it at nighttime using a cotton round. I focus the toner in my t-zone and after a few minutes it dries and I’m ready for my serum or moisturizer.
I use two different serums on a daily basis. The Innis Free Hydrating Serum I prefer at night because it tends to stay on my face and really soak into the skin so it’s not the best to layer with makeup. It smells amazing and is very hydrating which makes a huge difference for my skin. The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid Serum is my go-to in the mornings when I’ll be wearing makeup that day. The hyaluronic acid is great for reducing wrinkles, hydrating and plumping/firming the skin. It’s great for sensitive skin and has been a great added step to my skincare routine.
Applying my moisturizer is definitely my favorite part of my skincare routine. I can’t even hardly explain the feeling of my skin after using this moisturizer. It feels so soft, smooth and unbelievably hydrated! It’s the perfect way to finish my skincare at night. In the morning, it’s the final step before applying my makeup. Simple and clean ingredients make it ideal for all skin types.
So there you have it, my full skincare routine! I hope you guys enjoyed this blog post, thank you for reading! 🙂
